Ericcson Globen Skyview

            (STOCKHOLM)

The Ericsson Globe is the worlds largest spherical building. It has a football stadium inside it.

A bit further away from the Stockholm city, it is easily accessible by the Stockholm Underground/ subway public transport. You can get down at Globen Tbana. From there, its just a 5 to 10 minutes walk on an elevated walkway to the Globe. Your Travel Card will , obviously, cover the subway trip. And you get to experience another mode of public transport in Stockholm: the Subway.

But why it is a tourist attraction is because it has these two glass gondolas, which ascend from the bottom to the top, sliding along rails that run on the spherical building. From the top you can get a 360 degree view of Stockholm and its surrounds. there are posters pointing out landmarks in the gondola itself.

But more than the panoramic views, the Globen Skyview is a unique experience for those looking for variety.

Again, here too, as in all cases, it is better to book your tickets online earlier as only 12 people are allowed in one trip. There are two gondolas and the rides are 30 mins apart. If not booked in advance, you may end up losing a lot of time in queue.  Theres a boutique and a cafe nearby too.
